Outlook Google Calendar Sync

Privacy policy

Effective 26 October 2026

This personal utility is operated by its account owner to mirror their Outlook schedule into their own Google calendar. It is not a public calendar-sync service.

Information used

The app reads Outlook calendar event identifiers, titles, descriptions, times, recurrence instances, locations, meeting links, availability and cancellation status, and attendee details. It uses Microsoft and Google account identifiers to keep the mirror bound to the authorized accounts. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens allow unattended access after the owner grants consent.

Purpose and access

The app uses this information only to maintain the calendar mirror. Microsoft calendar access is read-only. Google permission allows viewing and managing events on calendars the owner owns; this app writes private mirror copies to the primary calendar. Attendee details may be included as text in copied descriptions, but attendees are not invited and the app sends no meeting responses.

Storage and sharing

Calendar copies are stored in the owner's Google account. Account binding and OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's server with restricted filesystem access. Data travels over HTTPS to Microsoft and Google, and credentials are transferred to the server over SSH. The server is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Calendar details are not included in the app's routine sync logs.

The app does not sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. It does not provide calendar information to unrelated recipients. Google and Microsoft process data under their own account and service policies. Tools and people already authorized to access the destination calendar may be able to read its copies.

Retention and control

The sync uses a rolling window of 30 days in the past through 365 days in the future. During successful syncs, copies outside the desired source window are removed. Stopping the app leaves existing Google copies in place. The owner can revoke access in Microsoft and Google account settings, remove local/server credentials, and delete mirror copies from Google. Revoking access alone does not delete existing copies.

Google API data

The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

These static information pages do not request calendar data, accept logins, or use analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Standard web-server access logs may contain request metadata such as IP address, time and requested URL.

Questions and requests

The account owner operates the app and controls its connected accounts. Authorized users can contact the owner through the support email shown on Google's consent screen.
